Whimsybuilt LLC is a creative web design studio based in New York. We build custom websites, brands, and digital experiences for clients who care about craft — and we also offer ready-to-launch website templates and complete brandable packages for those who want a head start.

Whimsybuilt was co-founded by Eva Marie Cole and Edward "EJ" Gall. Eva serves as the Manager and handles the creative, technical, and day-to-day operations. EJ contributes to marketing strategy and brand direction.

Yes. WhimsyBuilt LLC is a legally formed limited liability company registered in the State of New York. Our passion projects operate as d/b/a (doing business as) brands under the WhimsyBuilt LLC umbrella.

Purpose. We only build things worth building. Actually Govern exists because we are passionate about protecting democracy and encouraging people to think beyond party lines — it is civic passion, not commerce. Eat Real Again exists because we believe people deserve better information about what they eat and practical tools to help them act on it. We could fill market gaps for profit alone, but that is not enough for us. If it does not have a purpose, we do not build it.

First, it is what we do: we build websites, brands, and digital experiences designed to make a real difference for the people who use them. Second, it is how we build: purpose is not something we add on after the fact — it is baked in from day one. And third, it is an invitation to anyone who crosses paths with Whimsybuilt — build something that matters with your life, your health, your civic engagement. It is also our north star when we evaluate new projects. The question is never just "can this make money?" It must also answer yes to "does this matter?"

We currently run two passion projects alongside our client work: Actually Govern (a non-partisan civic education project encouraging people to protect democracy and think beyond party lines) and Eat Real Again (free whole food recipes, resources, and tools — including a custom shopping list generator — for people learning to eat real food again).

Yes — Whimsybuilt sells website templates and complete brandable packages directly on this site and through select third-party platforms. Each passion project has its own dedicated website with its own resources. Eat Real Again may include affiliate links on product recommendations.

Yes. In addition to our own passion projects, we offer custom WordPress website development, branding and graphic design, logo design, and UX consulting. We are selective about the projects we take on — we work best with clients who value quality and craft over speed and shortcuts.
